The Detrhona Timorasso di Vietti is a 100% Timorasso-based white wine grown in the territory of Monleale, in the province of Alessandria. The reference vineyards, exposed to the Southeast and Southwest, are located on limestone-clay soils. In the cellar, the alcoholic fermentation of the must lasted for 4 weeks in ceramic, wooden, and steel vats. In the same containers, the wine aged for 10 months in contact with the fine lees. Timorasso is a native grape variety from the Colli Tortonesi, recently rediscovered, capable of producing distinctly mineral and long-lived wines.

Vietti's Derthona Timorasso presents itself with a straw yellow color and greenish reflections. On the nose, it introduces itself with aromas of pear and peach intertwined with floral hints of acacia and hawthorn, along with notes of honey and hydrocarbons. On the palate, it is fresh and well-structured, enhanced by a vertical minerality and a persistent fruity and herbaceous finish. It pairs well with aged or blue cheeses, as well as with vegetarian dishes and tasty seafood preparations.
