Corpo medioThe Sauvignon del Molise Vigne del Sorbo di Vinica comes from a 2.5-hectare vineyard, cultivated at 590 metres above sea level, where the exposure and the thermal excursions give great freshness. The name originates from a centuries-old rowan tree that dominates the vineyards located in the “Lame” locality, on the hills of Ripalimosani. The harvest takes place in the second ten days of October; after pressing, the must ferments spontaneously, then the wine ages in steel in contact with the lees for 18 months, followed by a further 6 in the bottle, before being put on the market.
The Sauvignon Vigne del Sorbo di Vinica is presented in the glass with an intense and brilliant straw yellow; on the nose, it has intense notes of exotic fruit, acacia flowers and honey, on a pleasant mineral background. On the palate, it is tasty, with balanced acidity and flavour, and a persistent finish. Good with anchovies and fried sage, or with a classic seafood risotto.
