The Chianti Classico Riserva Tenuta Perano di Frescobaldi 2015 is obtained from Sangiovese grapes (with the addition of a small percentage of Merlot) harvested and selected by hand. The original vineyards form a natural amphitheatre - facing south, south-west - within the splendid Tenuta Perano located in Gaiole in Chianti (SI), at an average altitude of 500 metres above sea level. This is a Tuscan red with a proud and elegant personality that was aged in Slavonian oak barrels for 24 months before being marketed. The Chianti Classico denomination refers to the historical production area of Chianti - between Florence and Siena - whose borders were defined for the first time in 1716 by Cosimo III de'Medici.

TENUTA PERANO RISERVA FRESCOBALDI: TASTING

The Chianti Classico Riserva DOCG Tenuta Perano 2015 by Frescobaldi is presented in the glass of a ruby red colour with purple reflections. On the nose, aromas of red flowers and small black berry fruits are chasing together with hints of dark spices and notes of undergrowth. The sip is rich and enveloping, supported by smooth and well integrated tannins and a pleasant fresh-savoury trail that persists in its long finish. At the table, it goes well with aged cheeses and elaborate recipes based on red meats and game.
