Chardonnay Valle d'Aosta di Les Cretes: THE WINE
The Chardonnay Valle d'Aosta di Les Cretes is made from 100% Chardonnay grapes from the Les Crêtes di Aymavilles and Frissonnière di Saint Christophe vineyards, in the province of Aosta. The reference vineyards, facing Northeast and trained with Guyot method, are rooted in morainic, loose, and sandy soils at an altitude between 600 and 800 meters above sea level. The harvest takes place by hand, around mid-September. To start the white winemaking process, the bunches were gently pressed whole. The alcoholic fermentation of the must lasted for 12 days in stainless steel at a temperature of 13°C. The refinement was 3 months in contact with the lees.
CHARDONNAY VALLE D'AOSTA LES CRETES: TASTING NOTES
The Chardonnay Valle d'Aosta di Les Cretes presents itself with a bright straw yellow color. On the nose, it offers scents of plum and yellow pulp fruit that meet hints of wildflowers and notes of honey and mountain herbs. The taste is soft and intense, supported by a enveloping minerality and a decisive fruity and floral taste that lingers in the finish. On the table, it pairs well with blue cheeses and succulent seafood dishes based on white fish, mollusks, and crustaceans.Product specifications
