Fine WineThe Cepparello Sangiovese Toscana IGT 2019 by Isole e Olena represents one of the finest expressions of Sangiovese in Tuscany. Produced by the historic Isole e Olena winery, located in the heart of Chianti Classico, this wine is made from carefully selected vineyards cultivated with respect for nature and terroir. Cepparello is crafted from pure Sangiovese grapes and embodies the producer's vision of elevating this native variety to its highest quality, transforming it into a wine with unique intensity and character. The estate’s calcareous and clay-rich soils, at an altitude that allows Sangiovese to express vibrant freshness and unparalleled aromatic complexity, provide the ideal growing conditions. After an extended maceration fermentation, the wine matures in French oak barriques for around 18-20 months, gaining structure and elegance.
In the glass, Cepparello 2019 reveals an intense, bright ruby red color. On the nose, it shows a rich and complex bouquet dominated by ripe red fruits like cherry and raspberry, alongside subtle hints of violet, sweet spices, tobacco, and leather. On the palate, it is structured and enveloping, with silky tannins that enhance its freshness and persistence. The finish is long and lingering, with a refined mineral note that reflects the terroir. Cepparello pairs perfectly with meat dishes, such as roasts and braises, or with aged cheeses, for an intense and unforgettable tasting experience.
