Corpo robustoThe Camartina by Querciabella is derived from a blend of Cabernet Sauvignon (70%) and Sangiovese (30%) grown in the Ruffoli hamlet of Greve in Chianti (FI). The vineyards, facing south and southwest, are rooted in soils composed of galestro and clay, at an altitude between 350 and 600 meters above sea level. The cultivation techniques are inspired by the principles of organic and biodynamic agriculture. In the winery, the two varieties were vinified separately with spontaneous alcoholic fermentation in wooden vats. The base wines were then aged for 18 months in fine and extra-fine-grained French oak barriques, 30% of which were new. After blending in concrete tanks and over 12 months of maturation in the bottle, the Camartina Toscana by Querciabella, an undisputed excellence of the Chianti company, was marketed.
CAMARTINA TOSCANA QUERCIABELLA: TASTING NOTES The Camartina by Querciabella presents itself with a ruby red color and garnet reflections. On the nose, it offers aromas of berry jam and potpourri of violets intertwined with warm notes of leather, juniper, and dark spices. The bouquet is completed by hints of balsamic herbs and noble woods. The taste is intense and structured, supported by a silky tannic texture and a long finish played on vegetal and spicy tones. At the table, it pairs excellently with aged cheeses and elaborate land-based recipes featuring red meats or game.
