Ca' Marcanda Gaja's Bolgheri Magari was produced from Merlot (50%), Cabernet Sauvignon (25%) and Cabernet Franc (25%) grapes grown in Santa Teresa, in the splendid Bolgheri area. During the vinification, the grapes were subjected to alcoholic fermentation with maceration of the must in contact with the skins for a period of 12 days. Before release, Ca' Marcanda Gaja's Bolgheri Rosso DOC Magari 2017 was aged for 18 months in French oak barrels.  

BOLGHERI MAGARI CA' MARCANDA GAJA: TASTING  

Ca' Marcanda Gaja's Bolgheri Magari is presented with a ruby red colour in the glass. On the nose, it releases intense aromas of plum and small berries in jam that intertwine with hints of Mediterranean scrub and timid notes of flint and dark spices and oriental sweets. The sip is soft and deep, enhanced by a smooth tannic texture and a gentle fresh-savoury trail that persists in the long finish. At the table, it goes well with aged cheeses as well as with recipes based on red meats and game
