Corpo robustoThe Barolo Serralunga d'Alba di Principiano is obtained from 100% Nebbiolo grapes grown in the territory of Serralunga d’Alba, a prestigious subzone of Barolo. After the harvest, carried out with a yield of 70 quintals per hectare, the grapes were crushed using feet to prepare them for alcoholic fermentation (a process in which sugars are transformed into alcohol), which spontaneously started thanks to the aid of indigenous yeasts. Before bottling, the Barolo Serralunga d'Alba di PrincipianoBarolo Serralunga d'Alba di Principiano aged for 24 months in 20 and 40 hectolitre barrels. In line with the winery's production philosophy, this small great masterpiece of Piedmont winemaking was produced using traditional methods and with minimal intervention in the vineyard and cellar.
The Barolo Serralunga d'Alba di PrincipianoBarolo Serralunga d'Alba di Principiano seduces the sight with its ruby red color with garnet reflections. To the nose, it releases aromas of cherry and red fruit intertwined with fragrant floral hints of violet and delicate balsamic notes of mint combined with subtle spicy undertones. The palate is powerful and elegant at the same time, supported by a silky tannic texture and a subtle fresh-sapidity that lingers in the long finish. It pairs well with aged cheeses as well as tasty land-based recipes of red meats and game.
