Fine WineThe Barolo Riserva Monprivato Cà d’Morissio di Mascarello Giuseppe was produced from a selection of 100% Nebbiolo grapes (Michet biotype) grown in the prestigious cru of Monprivato, located in the territory of Castiglione Falletto (CN). The vineyards, with a South-West exposure, are rooted in loamy-clay soils rich in active limestone, at an altitude of approximately 280 meters above sea level. The winemaking process included a 20-26 days long alcoholic fermentation phase. The aging took place in medium capacity Slavonian oak barrels for about 40 months.
The Barolo Riserva Monprivato Cà d’Morissio di Mascarello Giuseppe presents itself with a garnet red color and orange reflections. The nose expresses aromas of small red fruits under spirit intertwined with balsamic and ethereal hints and delicate notes of leather, tobacco, and dark oriental spices. To enrich the olfactory profile, delicate hints of resin and undergrowth. On the palate, it is austere and powerful, supported by evolved and elegant tannins and a long spicy finish. It pairs well with aged cheeses and tasty recipes based on red meats or game.
