The Barolo Lazzarito DOCG 2020 from Vietti is a refined and powerful expression of the renowned Langhe terroir, representing one of Barolo's most prestigious crus. The wine is made from 100% Nebbiolo grapes sourced from the Lazzarito vineyard in Serralunga d'Alba, one of the most highly-regarded areas for Barolo production. The combination of calcareous-clay soils and the southeast exposure of the vines promotes optimal grape ripening, while the region's harsh climate contributes to complex tannins and notable structure. Vinification takes place in stainless steel tanks, followed by a long maceration period of about 3-4 weeks to extract the maximum structure and aromas from the skins. After fermentation, the wine matures in oak barrels for approximately 30 months, enriching its aromatic profile and adding a complex depth.
