Corpo robustoThe Barolo Bricco Manescotto di Giovanni Corino was produced from 100% Nebbiolo grapes grown in the municipality of La Morra (CN) on clay, limestone, and sandy soils. The winemaking process included a maceration phase of the must in contact with the skins for 5-7 days at a controlled temperature of 25-30°C. The aging took place in small barrels of French oak, with 35% new and 65% used for a period of 24 months. Before being released, the PLACEHOLDER_WINEEXTRACTEDNAME 2018 by Giovanni Corino rested for a further 6 months in stainless steel and 12 months in bottle.
The PLACEHOLDER_WINE reveals itself with a ruby red color with garnet reflections. On the nose, it expresses aromas of ripe red berries intertwined with violet scents and evolved notes of undergrowth and dark spices. The olfactory bouquet is complemented by balsamic hints and toasted dried fruit. The palate is elegant and powerful, supported by smooth tannins and an exciting finish of balsamic herbs and spices. Excellent paired with aged cheeses and succulent dishes based on red meats or game.
