Brovia's Barolo is born in Castiglione Falletto from the collaboration of the new conductors of this famous company, which has always been strictly family-run. Cristina Brovia takes care of the vineyards in an organic regime with continuous updating and delivers the fruits to her sister Elena in the cellar. Elena's husband, Alex Sanchez, supports the work of the two with passion and dedication. This Barolo is produced from grapes harvested in crus from different areas. During the harvest, a careful selection of the bunches is made; the grapes are then fermented with indigenous yeasts. Ageing in large Slavonian oak barrels for about 24 months.
BAROLO BROVIA: TASTING
Brovia's Barolo 2016 enters the glass with an austere ruby red; the nose has cherry fruit and dried flowers, on a darker base of undergrowth, coffee and tobacco. The mouth is severe and taut in tannin, very fresh and elegant. A wine to wait for, and then fully enjoy accompanied by chicken ravioli alla cacciatora with broth and currant, to quote Valeria Piccini (Caino), or more "simply" with egg pappardelle with white ragu and truffle.Product specifications
