Burlotto's Barbera d'Alba DOC 2019 was produced from 100% Barbera grapes grown in the Verduno area (CN), a municipality included in the Barolo DOCG. The winemaking process involved a 10-day maceration in French oak vats with frequent use of pumping over and fulling, both mechanical stirring of the must functional to the maceration and fermentation processes for red wines. The refinement was about 9 months in Slavonian and Allier oak barrels of 35-50 hectolitres plus a few months in the bottle.

BARBERA D'ALBA BURLOTTO: TASTING

Burlotto's Barbera d'Alba has an intense ruby red colour with purple reflections. Clear in its aromas of cherries in alcohol and small berries, the sip reveals a vigorous freshness supported by agile and completely invasive tannins. Pleasant dry finish with a slight aftertaste of dark spices. A splendid wine for the whole meal, Burlotto's Barbera d'Alba pairs well with medium-aged cheeses and meat and vegetable first and second courses.
