The Barbaresco Asili di Bruno Giacosa was produced from 100% Nebbiolo grapes. The eponymous and prestigious cru, facing Southwest, is rooted in clay-limestone soils, at an altitude of about 250 meters above sea level. During the vinification, alcoholic fermentation was activated by indigenous yeasts in cement tanks, with a must maceration on the skins for about 3 weeks. The aging process lasted 24 months in large French oak barrels.
BARBARESCO ASILI BRUNO GIACOSA: TASTING NOTES
The Barbaresco Asili di Bruno Giacosa presents a ruby red color with garnet reflections. On the nose, it is a triumph of ripe red fruit aromas meeting hints of rose and violet potpourri, rhubarb, and licorice notes. The olfactory profile is completed by ethereal and undergrowth notes. On the palate, it is powerful and deep, enhanced by refined and silky tannins, with a long and elegant spicy and balsamic finish. This red masterpiece pairs excellently with aged cheeses as well as with sophisticated earth-based recipes of red meats or game.Product specifications
