The Serpico di Feudi of San Gregorio is obtained from 100% Aglianico grapes grown in the historic vineyard known as Dal Re, where pre-phylloxera and ungrafted plants are cultivated and reproduced. During vinification, the alcoholic fermentation with maceration of the must in contact with the skins takes place in stainless steel tanks for 3-4 weeks. The aging process lasts for 18 months in French oak barriques and 50-hectoliter medium toast casks, followed by an additional 12 months in the bottle.

SERPICO FEUDI DI SAN GREGORIO: TASTING NOTES

The Serpico di Feudi of San Gregorio presents itself with a ruby red color. On the nose, it offers aromas of small red fruits in jam, along with hints of cocoa, coffee powder, licorice root, and sweet spices. The palate is intense and deep, enhanced by a soft tannic structure and a long spicy finish. It pairs well with aged cheeses and hearty main courses of red meats or game, such as a delicious beef stew with potatoes.
