The Benromach 10 Years Old is produced by one of the smallest distilleries initially in operation. Matured in ex-sherry and ex-bourbon casks, the Benromach is finally transferred to European oak casks that previously held Oloroso sherry. The Benromach 10 Years Old is a rich and perfectly balanced whisky that combines malt creaminess with flavors of summer fruit and a light peat smoke. The result is a fantastic union that has garnered several awards from both critics and the public.

Tasting Notes

The Benromach 10 Years Old is bottled with a golden color. The aroma is sweet with dominant notes of sherry followed by nuts, chocolate, and spices, hints of cinnamon and green apple with peat smoke. On the palate, the taste is creamy with a slight note of damp earth, forest fruits, and sherry; adding water reduces the peatiness, releasing notes of toasted malt and sherry. The finish is long and lingering with a light aftertaste of peat and sherry.
