The Verdicchio di Matelica Petrara di Borgo Paglianetto takes its name from an ancient district of the city of Matelica. The grapes come from a vineyard facing south, therefore with a great exposure to the sun, on clay-limestone soil. The vineyard management is certified organic, as well as the winemaking processes in the cellar. The harvest takes place starting between late September and early October; the grapes are processed in steel tanks and the wine ages for 6 months in steel before bottling, followed by an additional two months before being commercialized.

The Verdicchio di Matelica Petrara di Borgo Paglianetto presents a lively golden color. On the nose, it is interesting, with notes of saffron, dandelion, ripe citrus, and fresh almond, all wrapped in a rocky mineral veil. The palate is balanced, very much in line with the aromatic profile and with a long persistence. Delicious with Sardinian pork panada, veal, and vegetables.
