The Timorasso Costa del Vento di Vigneti Massa is a wine of the heart. Walter Massa is the one who first and in a more visceral way believed in Timorasso and changed its fate, as well as the fate of the Colli Tortonesi, physically and enologically nestled between Oltrepò Pavese and Monferrato. Vigneti Massa is the name of the family-run winery, founded in 1879, which today spreads over 23 hectares along the hills of Monleale, at about 300 meters above sea level. Here the most typical grape varieties of the area are cultivated: Barbera, Croatina, Freisa, but above all Timorasso, to which 10 hectares are dedicated. The Costa del Vento cru comes from vineyards facing Southwest, at an altitude of 300 meters above sea level. In the vineyard, intervention is kept to a minimum, the same goes for the cellar, with spontaneous fermentations and long periods on the fine lees (in this case around 10 months), always and only in steel.

The Timorasso Costa del Vento di Vigneti Massa is intense in every expression, starting from the color: a rich straw yellow with green gold reflections. On the nose, cedar and bergamot dominate, followed by broom and medicinal herbs, all on a powerful and "ancient" background of flint. In the mouth, it is imposing, generous in body and alcohol, balanced by great freshness and salinity, long. It pairs beautifully with smoked burrata and Cantabrian anchovies.
