Cantine Capitani's Syrah is a label that the company began producing at the end of the nineties, in the context of a structured as well as extensive modernisation and expansion that saw it begin to compete with international grapes and olive cultivation. We are in Trevignano Romano between the north coast of Lake Bracciano and the slopes of Monte di Rocca Romana. Syrah, whose best-known wines come from the Rhône Valley, is now widespread in Lazio due to its adaptability and good results found in the area. The harvest takes place at the end of September and the grapes are processed exclusively in steel.

SYRAH CANTINE CAPITANI: TASTING

Cantine Capitani Syrah has a beautiful deep ruby colour. It is attractive on the nose, with pleasant hints of pepper, hints of coffee, notes of violet, black currant and morello cherry. In the mouth, it is warm, material, with a good balance, enveloping tannins and balsamic extension. Excellent with ossobuco cooked on the grill, or more simply with grilled scamerita, and again with a sausage and beans risotto.
