According to Antonio Galloni's historical reconstruction based on information from Gianfranco Soldera, the 1987 Vino da Tavola Intistieti was not sourced from the Intistieti vineyard but from Case Basse. Soldera nevertheless retained the Intistieti name for this particular bottling. Case Basse's production philosophy is based on meticulous manual selection, spontaneous fermentation with native microorganisms and ageing in large Slavonian oak casks, without barriques, clarification or filtration.
