Fine WineThe Solaia Toscana IGT 2010 by Antinori represents one of the most emblematic and prestigious expressions of the Tuscan wine scene. Produced by the historic Antinori Estate, located in the Chianti Classico hills, this wine results from a refined blend of Cabernet Sauvignon and Sangiovese, with a small percentage of Cabernet Franc. The grapes come from selected vineyards situated on well-drained, mineral-rich soils, contributing to the wine's complexity and structure. After manual harvest, the grapes are vinified in small temperature-controlled stainless steel tanks and subsequently aged for about 18 months in French oak barriques, followed by additional bottle aging.
The Solaia Toscana IGT 2010 presents a deep, intense ruby red color in the glass. On the nose, the bouquet is extraordinarily complex and enveloping, with aromas of ripe black fruits like blackberries and currants, interwoven with notes of tobacco, leather, and sweet spices. Subtle hints of vanilla and dark chocolate further enrich the aromatic profile. On the palate, the wine is elegant and powerful, with silky, well-integrated tannins providing an imposing and velvety structure. The balanced freshness and acidity lead to a long, persistent finish, with fruit and spice returns that leave a lasting impression. Ideal with red meat dishes, roasts, and aged cheeses, the Solaia 2015 is a celebration of Antinori’s winemaking mastery.
