The Rosso La Pevera di Geografico was produced from 50% Sangiovese, 40% Cabernet Sauvignon, and 10% Syrah grapes harvested and vinified separately. The alcoholic fermentation of the must took place in stainless steel and was followed by malolactic fermentation carried out in cement tanks. After the blending, the wine matured its characteristics for 24 months in tonneaux. The name La Pevera recalls that of the ancient wooden funnel used in the Chianti area to transfer the wine into oak barrels.

ROSSO TOSCANA LA PEVERA GEOGRAFICO: TASTING

The Rosso La Pevera di Geografico appears in the glass with a ruby red color and garnet reflections. On the nose, it offers aromas of blackberries, blueberries, and ripe wild berries accompanied by hints of balsamic herbs and enveloping notes of dark chocolate, tobacco, and spices. The taste is warm, intense, and structured, supported by good minerality and ripe tannins. It pairs well at the table with aged cheeses and rich earthy dishes based on red meats or game.
