Torcicoda 2024 interprets Primitivo del Salento with a rich yet balanced profile, combining ripe fruit, softness and structure. The grapes come from Tormaresca's Apulian vineyards and are harvested slightly overripe to enhance concentration and aromatic intensity.

A generous, spicy Primitivo

After destemming and gentle crushing, the must ferments in stainless steel tanks at a controlled temperature not exceeding 28 °C. Skin maceration lasts about 13 days, with gentle pump-overs and delèstage. The wine then continues ageing for about 18 months before bottling.

Profile in the glass

Deep ruby red with violet highlights. The nose shows cherry, redcurrant and plum, followed by liquorice, chocolate and vanilla. The palate is broad, soft and structured, with elegant tannins, good freshness and a long finish recalling cherry jam.

Pairings

Ideal with flavourful dishes, rich sauces and roasted meats. Serve at 14-16 °C.
