The Primitivo Ghenos di Torrevento is a 100% Primitivo based red wine. The reference vineyards are grown in the Puglian bush-trained system, on medium-textured clay soils, at an altitude of 50 meters above sea level. The harvest took place in the second decade of September, with a yield of 70 quintals per hectare. After red vinification, the Ghenos was aged for 10 months in stainless steel and 6 months in barrels plus a short period in the bottle.

The Primitivo di Manduria Ghenos from Torrevento stands out with an intense ruby red color. On the nose, it displays aromas of ripe red fruits, balsamic herbs, and dark spices. The palate is warm and soft, with good savoriness and freshness. The tannic texture is smooth. The finish of fruit and spices is pleasant. At the table, it is fully enjoyed with aged cheeses as well as savory meat dishes, especially those based on red meats.
