Corpo robustoThe Pinot Grigio Jesera di VenicaPinot Grigio Jesera by Venica is obtained 100% from pinot grigio grapes, macerated for 4/8 hours at 14° after harvesting and destemming. 10% of the must ferments and ages on lees for 5 months in large wooden barrels, the rest in steel. After blending, the wine is bottled during full moons between March and July. The Pinot Grigio, from which the 2017 Talis by Venica is derived, is a grape probably born from a genetic mutation of the French-origin Pinot Noir. It is cultivated in many areas around the world, including Italy, particularly in Veneto, Trentino, and Friuli Venezia Giulia, in the Collio area. Its natural and seductive coppery color emerges when producers opt for a brief maceration on the wine skins in the initial phase of vinification.
Pinot Grigio Collio DOC Jesera by Venica shines in the glass with a beautiful golden color and coppery reflections. On the nose, clear scents of white flowers emerge, accompanied by notes of ripe yellow flesh fruit and delicate hints of aromatic herbs. The palate is soft and full of flavor, supported by solid mineral textures and a pleasant freshness that lingers in the fruity finish. Excellent as an aperitif, it pairs well with first and second seafood dishes as well as simple dishes based on white meats and vegetarian recipes.
