Fine WineThis is a rare bottle. Some of the bottles listed in the Etilika catalogue, explicitly marked as "Fine Wine" or "Rare Bottle", may come from private collections, industry professionals, or specialized merchants. Each bottle is carefully inspected by our team of expert sommeliers before being listed, but we cannot guarantee that it has been perfectly stored prior to arriving at our warehouses. For these products, detailed photographs are taken and any anomalies are clearly described—for example, a damaged label or capsule, or a fill level that is not entirely full. For such bottles, no requests for returns or refunds are accepted, and the "sold as seen" condition applies.
Tenuta dell'Ornellaia's Ornellaia 2014 is made from a blend of Cabernet Sauvignon (51%), Merlot (27%), Cabernet Franc (18%) and Petit Verdot (4%). These are the grapes of the great wines of Bordeaux, capable of expressing themselves at the pinnacle of excellence even in that brief and magical strip of Tuscan coastline represented by the Bolgheri area. Tenuta Ornellaia's Ornellaia 2021 Bolgheri Superiore rested for 20 months in oak barriques, 70% new and 30% second passage. The blending of the single-vineyard wines took place after 12 months of ageing. Before being marketed, it rested for a further 12 months in the bottle. This is a small masterpiece of world oenology, ready to take its place in the 'dream cellar' of every wine enthusiast
Ornellaia Bolgheri 2014 Superiore by Tenuta dell'Ornellaia seduces the eye with its deep ruby red colour. The nose expresses aromas of ripe berries that combine with hints of dark spices and delicate citrus notes of citron. The palate is soft and dense, enhanced by a fine tannic texture and a vibrant fresh-savoury trail that persists in the long, exciting spicy finish. On the table it pairs well with cured meats, mature cheeses as well as succulent earthy recipes based on red meats or game.
