The Nenfro by Sergio Mottura is produced from 100% Montepulciano grapes. The vineyard, called Colle Rosso, and trained with Guyot pruning, extends over a hill occasionally crossed by gravelly strips. During red wine vinification, alcoholic fermentation was accompanied by a long maceration of the must on the skins at a temperature of 25°C. Aging was carried out for 12 months in oak barrels, plus an additional 12 months in the bottle. Sergio Mottura's Nenfro Lazio Rosso is certified organic.

NENFRO SERGIO MOTTURA: TASTING

Sergio Mottura's Nenfro presents itself with a ruby red color with garnet reflections. On the nose, it expresses aromas of blackberry, black currant, and forest fruits combined with hints of red flowers and warm notes of licorice and dark spices. The taste is enveloping and full-bodied, supported by robust tannins and a persistent fruity and spicy finish. It pairs well with aged cheeses as well as rich meat-based dishes, especially those with red meat or game.
