Etna Rosso Santo Spirito di Tenuta delle Terre Nere is a red wine made from Nerello Mascalese with a small addition of Nerello Cappuccio. The vineyard is located in contrada Santo Spirito, in the municipality of Castiglione di Sicilia (CT), and includes bush-trained vines aged between 40 and 100 years. We are on the north side of the volcano, at an altitude of 700-750 meters above sea level. During red wine vinification, alcoholic fermentation took place at a controlled temperature of 28-30°C. Aging occurred for 16-18 months in barriques, tonneaux, and large casks of 10-30 hectoliters, 20% new, plus 1 month in stainless steel.

Etna Rosso Santo Spirito di Tenuta delle Terre Nere presents itself with an intense ruby red color. On the nose, it offers aromas of small red berries that blend with hints of Mediterranean herbs and subtle notes of graphite and oriental spices. The taste is elegant and intense, supported by a soft tannic structure and a long balsamic and citrusy finish. It pairs wonderfully with aged cheeses and delicious meat-based dishes featuring red meats or game.
