Aroma fruttato
Corpo medioThe Cococciola Terre di Chieti di Palazzo Battaglini was produced from 100% Cococciola grapes - The vineyards located in the Villamagna area (CH) and grown on Abruzzo pergola-trained vines extend over clay-limestone soils at an altitude of about 208 meters above sea level. The manual harvest took place at the beginning of September with a yield of about 140 quintals per hectare. In the cellar, the grapes were gently pressed to obtain the must. Alcoholic fermentation took place at a controlled temperature. The aging process lasted for several months in stainless steel. Cococciola is a white berry indigenous Abruzzo grape variety particularly widespread in the territory of Villamagna mostly used as a blending grape. For its wines, Palazzo Battaglini uses Dring, the innovative bottle with an integrated drip-stop feature. It is a patented device that allows pouring the wine without any drips from the bottle. No more wine stains on the tablecloth.
The Cococciola Terre di Chieti di Palazzo BattagliniCococciola Terre di Chieti from Palazzo Battaglini reveals itself with a straw yellow color and brilliant reflections. On the nose, it displays aromas of peach and white pear along with hints of wildflowers and aromatic herbs. The taste is fresh and balanced supported by a vibrant minerality and a delicate almond finish. It is a perfect match with cheeses, vegetarian dishes, as well as delightful seafood preparations. Excellent with zucchini and mint frittata.
