The Nipozzano Riserva by Frescobaldi is a wine obtained 90% from Sangiovese grapes and 10% from Malvasia Nera, Colorino, Merlot and Cabernet Sauvignon born at Castello Nipozzano in the Chianti Rùfina area, east of Florence. It is a historical wine of the Frescobaldi company, which embodies the irreducible character of the great Chiantis and the typical elegance of wines born in the Rùfina sub-area. Before being bottled, it rested for 24 months in second and third passage barriques.

Frescobaldi's Chianti Rufina Riserva DOCG Nipozzano has an intense ruby red colour in the glass. Crisp aromas of small red fruits combine with spicy hints of liquorice and cloves and toasted notes of coffee. The sip is dense and balanced, supported by a pleasant mineral freshness that persists in the long finish. It goes well with cured meats and medium-aged cheeses as well as with first or second courses based on red meats and game.
