The Chianti Classico di Fattoria dei Barbi was obtained from a blend of 80% Sangiovese grapes and 20% Cabernet and Merlot. The production process corresponds to traditional red winemaking, including maceration of the must on the skins and subsequent malolactic fermentation after alcoholic fermentation. The aging took place for several months in large Slavonian oak barrels. The area of Chianti Classico di Fattoria dei BarbiChianti Classico is a very ancient denomination: in 1716, the Grand Duke of Tuscany Cosimo III delineated its first boundaries between the cities of Florence and Siena.
