Ronco Bernizza is Venica's Chardonnay from one of the steeper slopes of Collio. “Bernizza” is a local place name and identifies a hillside with a pronounced gradient, where parts of the vineyard were reshaped into terraces to make vineyard work safer and more practical.

Freshness, breadth and carefully measured oak

The Ronco Bernizza style is based on 100% Chardonnay and an ageing approach that combines steel and wood: around 30% of the wine goes into large wooden casks and tonneaux, while the remainder stays in stainless steel. This preserves freshness and drive while adding breadth and texture.

Profile and pairings

The nose shows exotic fruit, citrus, delicate floral notes and Mediterranean herbs. The palate is savoury, mineral and persistent. Serve at 12-13 °C; it pairs well with fish main courses, cheeses and richer first courses.
