The Barolo Monprivato di Mascarello Giuseppe is obtained from 100% Nebbiolo grapes grown in the historic and prestigious Monprivato subzone of the municipality of Castiglione Falletto, in the province of Cuneo. The original vineyards, facing Southwest, are located on soils characterized by loamy-clayey marls, rich in active limestone, at an altitude of about 280 meters above sea level. After the harvest, the clusters were transported to the cellar for vinification, which included a 20-26 day alcoholic fermentation phase. Before being marketed, the Barolo Monprivato di Mascarello Giuseppe was aged for 30 months in Slavonian oak barrels.

The Barolo Monprivato di Mascarello Giuseppe presents itself in the glass with a seductive garnet red color. On the nose, it releases scents of cherry and ripe small red fruits that combine with hints of rose and violet in potpourri, and evolved notes of leather, tobacco, and dark spices. The olfactory profile is completed by subtle ethereal and balsamic nuances. On the palate, it is austere and elegant, enhanced by silky tannins and a long and exciting spicy and balsamic finish. It pairs well with aged cheeses and succulent earthy dishes based on red meats or game.
