Aroma fruttato
Corpo robustoThe Amarone Antonio Castagnedi di Tenuta Sant'Antonio is obtained from Corvina (70%), Rondinella (20%), Croatina (5%), and Osoleta (5%) grapes. The vineyards are located on sandy-loam soils, rich in skeleton, at an altitude of about 300 meters above sea level. After the manual harvest, the clusters were left to dry for a maximum of 3 months before being processed for vinification, which took place in stainless steel tanks for a period of 25 days. The aging process occurred for 24 months in new 500-liter French oak tonneaux.
The Amarone Antonio Castagnedi di Tenuta Sant'Antonio presents itself in the glass with a ruby red color and garnet reflections. On the nose, it reveals overwhelming aromas of small red fruits in jam, intertwined with balsamic and undergrowth notes. Warm notes of cocoa and oriental spices complete the olfactory profile. The palate is enveloping and powerful, enhanced by a velvety tannic structure and a robust body enriched by a clear minerality that lingers in the long fruity and spicy finish. Excellent as a meditation wine, it pairs well with aged cheeses and sumptuous land-based recipes of red meats or game.
