The Terra Sillaro di Villa Papiano is an organic macerated white wine made from 100% Albana grapes. The reference vineyard planted in 1980 is rooted in sandy soils born from sandstone rock at an altitude of about 480 meters above sea level. All vineyard and winery operations have been carried out in compliance with organic farming rules, including biodynamic practices such as the use of preparations like cow horn manure and horn silica. Only manure from non-intensive farming is used, and grape stalks, grape pomace, and seeds are recycled. The production process of the extrapolated wine Terra Sillaro di Villa Papiano Albana included a phase of spontaneous alcoholic fermentation in terracotta initiated by indigenous yeasts. Aging took place for 6 months in terracotta amphorae in contact with the skins.
