The Zibibbo secco Jasmin di Firriato is born from grapes coming from two areas in the Agro of Trapani: Tenuta di Borgo Guarini and Tenuta di Baglio Sorìa. In Borgo Guarini there are different pedoclimatic conditions depending on the altitude and the hill on which one is located, while Baglio Sorìa is located a few kilometers from Trapani, almost by the sea; the altitudes range from 80 to 400 meters above sea level. The "hillside" Zibibbo is harvested in the first decade of September, while the "seaside" one is harvested already at the end of August. The grapes are gently pressed and fermented slowly, at a controlled temperature, then the wines remain in steel on lees with daily bâtonnage.

ZIBIBBO SECCO JASMIN FIRRIATO: TASTING

The Zibibbo secco Jasmin di Firriato is bright straw yellow with greenish reflections. On the nose, as the name suggests, it delights with a penetrating scent of jasmine enriched with citrus notes and hints of the Mediterranean scrub. On the palate, it is savory, dry, with fragrant acidity of bergamot and generous in soft fruit. Due to its characteristics of aromaticity and sapidity, it is the ideal wine to accompany a dish of local traditional cuisine: couscous alla trapanese.
