The Rosso Veneto Leggero Appassimento from Villa Fura is derived from a blend of Corvina, Corvinone, Rondinella, and other local grape varieties. After the harvest, which takes place at the end of September, a portion of the grapes are left to dry in crates for 30-40 days to increase the sugar concentration in the berries. The subsequent winemaking process included alcoholic fermentation at a controlled temperature for 20-22 days with maceration of the must in contact with the skins. Before commercialization, the wine rested for 12 months in large barrels.
Rosso Veneto Leggero Appassimento from Villa Fura presents itself with an intense ruby red color. On the nose, it boasts aromas of jammy berries followed by hints of red flowers and warm notes of vanilla and dark spices. The taste is intense, enveloping, and balanced, with a velvety tannic texture and a persistent spicy finish. It pairs well with aged and blue cheeses, as well as sumptuous dishes based on red meats.
