The Rosa dei Frati di Cà dei Frati perfectly embodies the graceful but defined character of the wines of the southern shores of Lake Garda, with mixed calcareous, clayey, silty and sandy soils. The grapes are Groppello, Marzemino, Sangiovese and Barbera from Guyot-grown plants. The vinification takes place in steel, with slight macerative contact with the skins, followed by ageing for 6 months, again in steel on the fine lees, and further refinement of two months in the bottle.
The Rosa dei Frati from Cà dei Frati has a lively salmon pink colour. The nose shows hints of hawthorn blossom, apple, almond and wild cherry. In the mouth, it is tasty, fresh, savoury and capable of dangerously calling one glass after another. The perfect aperitif, but also able to accompany various dishes by playing on the serving temperature. Delicious with a genuine plate of bresaola, rocket and parmesan, as with beetroot chips, or with a classic stracchino and raw ham piadina, or with gnocchi with pink prawns and courgettes.
