The Pinot Grigio Sialis di Franco Terpin, produced only in the best vintages, comes from the old vines of the historic Sialis cru, 3 hectares of vineyards surrounded by woodland. We are on the high hill of San Floriano in Collio, on the southern slopes of Mount Calvary; the plants are over 70 years old and produce very low yields. The microclimate is perfect, characterized by strong temperature variations and a constant sea breeze; the soil is clayey and limestone, resting for a long time without chemical products. The grapes are spontaneously fermented in contact with the skins, then the wine matures for about a year in barrels and then for a long time in the bottle, without any clarification or filtration.

PINOT GRIGIO SIALIS FRANCO TERPIN: TASTING

The Pinot Grigio Sialis di Franco Terpin has a bright golden pink color. The aromatic profile is a succession of hints of strawberry and currant jelly, hibiscus infusion, vanilla, white pepper, ginger, dog rose, and mint. The very fresh sip is balanced by the slight sugary residue, and spicy notes accompany the finish. To be tasted alone, then to be paired, for example, with roasted herb ham.
