Nero d'Avola Feudi Branciforti dei Bordonaro comes from the lush hills of Tenuta di Gelso Grande, 300 metres above sea level, on medium-textured soils tending to clayey. We are in the Trapani countryside, between Mount Erice and the Egadi Islands. Harvested in late September when the grapes are perfectly ripe, Nero d'Avola is vinified in steel vats with temperature control (the temperature control is used to ensure that the fermentation develops slowly and constantly and that it does not there are fermentation blocks, with the death of the wine yeasts and the possible triggering of fermentations by other unsuitable fungi or bacteria). After malolactic fermentation, the wine ages two months in American oak barriques and another month in the bottle.
Nero d'Avola Branciforti enters the glass with an intense ruby red colour with purple reflections; on the nose, it has strong hints of ripe red fruits, plum and Mediterranean scrub with delicate balsamic notes. In the mouth, it is young and fresh, with a beautiful aroma. Perfect with red meat first courses, with a strong taste, such as Amatriciana.
Amatriciana.
