The Moscato Oppidum di Cantina Sant'Andrea is obtained from 100% Moscato di Terracina grapes grown in the territories of Terracina and Sabaudia, in the province of Latina. The original vineyards are located at a distance from the Tyrrhenian Sea ranging from 7 to 12 km on soils characterized by red clays. After crushing and destemming, the must underwent cryomaceration for 24-36 hours, a practice that favored the extraction of primary fruit aromas. Alcoholic fermentation took place at a controlled temperature of 16-18°C.
The Moscato di Terracina DOC Secco Oppidum by Cantina Sant'Andrea appears in the glass with a straw yellow color and golden reflections. On the nose, it releases intense aromas of apricot and tropical yellow-fleshed fruit, along with floral hints of rose and notes of Mediterranean herbs. On the palate, it fully expresses its aromaticity, supported by well-integrated acidity and a pronounced minerality that lingers in the finish of bitter almond. Excellent as an aperitif, it pairs well with blue cheeses and vegetarian dishes, as well as with exquisite seafood recipes based on white fish and shellfish.
