The Montepulciano d'Abruzzo di Valentini was produced from 100% Montepulciano grapes grown in the territory of Loreto Aprutino (PE), without the use of chemical or synthetic products. After the manual harvest, the bunches, carefully selected, were transported to the cellar to undergo destemming in order to obtain the must. Alcoholic fermentation started spontaneously with the help of indigenous yeasts. The aging took place for 12 months in chestnut oak barrels and a further 48 months in the bottle. The acclaimed Montepulciano d'Abruzzo di Valentini, praised by critics and enthusiasts, is considered a true standout of Abruzzo viticulture and beyond, only produced in the best vintages.
The Montepulciano d'Abruzzo di Valentini presents itself in the glass with an intense ruby red color. On the nose, it reveals aromas of blackberries and jammy wild berries intertwining with hints of humus and notes of cocoa and dark spices. The palate is enveloping and deep, enhanced by a smooth tannic structure and a long and elegant spicy finish. It pairs well with charcuterie, aged cheeses, and succulent dishes featuring red meats or game at the table.
