The Chianti di Fattorie Marchesi Torrigiani is born from grapes 70% Sangiovese, 20% Canaiolo and 10% Colorino grown and trained with spurred cordon in the area of high Val d'Elsa. The reference vineyards, facing Southeast, are located on deep soils of marine sedimentary origin. The entire red winemaking process, which included maceration of the must on the skins to facilitate the extraction of color and substances, took place in concrete tanks. The aging was 12 months in bottle.
The Chianti Chianti di Fattorie Marchesi TorrigianiChianti from Fattorie Marchesi di Torrigiani presents to the eye an intense ruby red color. On the nose, it expresses aromas of ripe red berries, iris, and violet, followed by hints of Mediterranean herbs, vanilla, and dark spices. The palate is round and structured, supported by well-integrated tannins and a pleasant fruity and spicy finish. It pairs well with aged cheeses as well as flavorful meat-based dishes with red meats or game.
