The Chardonnay of Villa Chiopris is produced from 100% Chardonnay grapes grown in the territories of Chiopris-Viscone and San Giovanni al Natisone, in the province of Udine. After the harvest, the grapes underwent a cold maceration to allow the extraction of the primary aromas or typical of the grapes themselves. The alcoholic fermentation, which converted the sugars into alcohol, takes place at a constant temperature of 15° C. The refinement took place in stainless steel barrels for 4 months. Before being released, Villa Chiopris' Chardonnay Friuli Grave DOC 2018 rested for a short period in the bottle.
The Chardonnay Friuli Grave DOC of Villa Chiopris has a straw yellow colour in the glass. On the nose, aromas of apple and yellow pulp fruit intertwine with hints of bread crust and smoky notes. The sip is soft, supported by a young freshness and a clear minerality that persists in the finish. Excellent as an aperitif, at the table, it goes well with fresh cheeses, vegetarian dishes and tasty seafood recipes based on white fish, crustaceans and molluscs
