The Brunello di Montalcino di Ciacci Piccolomini d'Aragona is produced from 100% Sangiovese Grosso grapes grown in the southeast of Montalcino, in the province of Siena. The company's vineyards are rooted in soils of medium texture characterized by galestro, at an altitude ranging from 240 to 360 meters above sea level. The vinification process took place in stainless steel and vitrified cement tanks at controlled temperature. The aging process was carried out for 24 months in Slavonian oak barrels of 20 and 75 hectoliters, followed by over 8 months in the bottle.
BRUNELLO DI MONTALCINO CIACCI PICCOLOMINI D'ARAGONA: TASTING
The Brunello di Montalcino di Ciacci Piccolomini d'Aragona reveals itself to the eye with a ruby red color with garnet reflections. On the nose, it expresses aromas of ripe red fruits combined with hints of rose and violet potpourri, and notes of black pepper and dark spices. Balzamic and undergrowth suggestions intrigue the olfactory profile. The taste is elegant and profound, refined by silky tannins and a long, fruity and expansive finish. It pairs excellently with aged cheeses as well as with first and second courses of red meats or game.
