The Brunello di Montalcino di Caparzo is produced from 100% Sangiovese Grosso grapes sourced from company-owned vineyards located in various areas of the Montalcino wine region (SI), each characterized by different terroirs. The soils range from sandy-clayey to schist-sandy and stony. The altitude is between 220 and 300 meters above sea level. In the cellar, the alcoholic fermentation of the must took place in stainless steel at a controlled temperature of 18-20°C for 7 days, accompanied by a maceration phase of the must on the skins for 10-15 days. Aging occurred for 36 months in large barrels plus an additional 4 months in the bottle.
BRUNELLO DI MONTALCINO CAPARZO: TASTING
The Brunello di Montalcino di Caparzo is ruby red with garnet reflections. On the nose, it displays aromas of ripe small red fruits combined with hints of violet potpourri and balsamic herbs. Completing the olfactory profile are notes of wet earth and dark spices. The palate is elegant and harmonious with a silky tannic texture. The finish is long with hints of sour cherry and spices. It pairs well with cheeses and rich earthy dishes based on red meats or game.Product specifications
