Vajra produces the Barolo DOCG Coste di Rose with care using the following grape variety: Nebbiolo (100%). Fermentation occurs in stainless steel tanks at a controlled temperature for about 20-25 days. The wine is then aged for at least 36 months in oak barrels and subsequently in bottles for further aging. The winemaking takes place in the municipality of Barolo, in the Piemonte region, renowned for producing this extraordinary wine. The vineyards are cultivated on clay-limestone soils and benefit from a privileged exposure that favors the optimal maturation of the grapes.
The Barolo DOCG Coste di Rose 2019 - Vajra has a rich and complex taste profile. Visual Analysis: The wine presents an intense ruby red color with garnet reflections. Olfactory Analysis: On the nose, it reveals elegant notes of red fruits, spices, underbrush, and licorice. Taste: On the palate, the wine is structured with well-integrated tannins, good freshness, and a persistent flavor. It is harmonious and well-balanced. The wine is suitable for aging and can be kept for many years, developing further complexities and aromatic nuances. Due to its structure and complexity, it pairs well with red meats, aged cheeses, and Piemontese dishes such as braised beef in Barolo wine and tajarin with ragù.
