The Barbera d'Alba di Cascina Botal is a 100% Barbera red wine. The red vinification took place in stainless steel: among its stages, the alcoholic fermentation with maceration of the must on the skins and the malolactic fermentation which rounded off the aromatic and structural edges of the wine. It was aged for several months in barrels. Barbera is the most widespread red berry variety in Piedmont, particularly common in the area of Alba and Asti.
The Barbera d'Alba di Cascina Botal presents itself in the glass with a ruby red color with purple reflections. On the nose, it offers scents of cherry and wild berries combined with hints of rose petals and violet, as well as spicy notes of black pepper and vanilla. The taste is soft and pleasant, supported by smooth tannins and a vibrant freshness that lingers in the finish. It pairs well with semi-aged cheeses as well as tasty dishes based on red meats and/or tomato.
