The Aglianico del Vulture Donpà Regio is produced from 100% Aglianico grapes grown in organic vineyards rooted in volcanic soils, northeast of Venosa (PZ). In the winery, the clusters were destemmed and cooled to a temperature of 10°C for 24 hours. During the red winemaking process, maceration of the must on the skins lasted for 10 days, followed by spontaneous malolactic fermentation with frequent pump-overs. The wine aged for 24 months in French oak barriques and an additional 12 months in the bottle.
The Aglianico del Vulture Donpà Regio is visually distinguished by a ruby red color with garnet reflections. On the nose, it introduces aromas of ripe berries followed by hints of balsamic herbs and touches of oriental spices. The palate is enveloping and structured, enhanced by a pronounced minerality and a soft tannic texture. The fruity and spicy finish is persistent. It pairs perfectly with aged cheeses and flavorful meat dishes such as red meats or game.
