The Genesi Aglianico del Vulture di Piccini is obtained from 100% Aglianico grapes grown on volcanic soils. The harvest took place early, at the beginning of October, to enhance the freshness and fragrance of the aromatic component of the fruits. The red winemaking process included alcoholic fermentation at low temperatures and a short maceration of the must in contact with the skins to avoid excessive tannin extraction. The aging process took place for 6 months in barriques and a further 3 months in the bottle.

AGLIANICO DEL VULTURE GENESI: TASTING

The Aglianico del Vulture Genesi by Piccini presents itself with a ruby red color and purple reflections. On the nose, it expresses aromas of plum and ripe red fruits that combine with hints of balsamic herbs, licorice root, and dark spices. The taste is intense and full-bodied, enhanced by smooth tannins and a long fruity and spicy finish. It pairs excellently with aged cheeses as well as flavorful meat-based dishes with red meats.
